1. Introduction & Identity of Data Fiduciary

Truely Money (referred to as "we", "us", or "our") operates as an independent information and comparison platform. We act as the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We are not a bank, NBFC, broker, or financial advisor, and we maintain no affiliation with any financial institution or regulatory body.

2. Scope of Application

This Privacy Policy governs your use of the Truely Money web application, mobile interfaces, and the website truelymoney.com. By accessing or using the platform, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

3. What Personal Data We Collect

We believe in extreme data minimization. Truely Money is fully usable anonymously with no sign-in required. If you choose to sign in, we receive your email address (and, with Google, your display name) to identify your account. You can sign in with Google or with an email address and password. If you use a password, Firebase Authentication stores it in hashed form on our behalf; we never see or store it in readable form, and we email a one-time code to that address to verify it, and another if you ask to reset your password. Codes are stored only in hashed form and are deleted when used or expired; the emails are sent through our email delivery provider, Resend. You may also set a display nickname of your own. We do NOT collect, ask for, or store sensitive personal identifiers like PAN card numbers, Aadhaar details, passport copies, phone numbers, bank account details, or payment card info. Separately, we use analytics tools that automatically collect aggregate device and usage data — see Section 10 for details.

4. Data Storage & Localisation

If you do not sign in, all preferences, favorited products, and recently viewed histories are stored exclusively on your own device's local storage (localStorage) and never leave your device. If you choose to sign in, your email address, display name, favourited products, and recent searches are additionally synced to our Firebase (Firestore) database so they carry across your devices. Saved AI Advisor conversations, including product results, are also stored with your account. Authorized administrators may review saved profiles, favourites, recent searches and chats for support, troubleshooting and service improvement; opening a user record or saved chat is logged. Clearing local storage removes anonymous local data instantly; signed-in data can be permanently deleted at any time as described in Section 15.

5. Financial Product Data Accuracy

The interest rates, tenure specifications, eligibility values, and rules presented in this app are fetched from publicly accessible bank portals and stored in our Supabase database. This data is updated periodically but is not real-time. Truely Money is not liable for discrepancies; users must verify all terms directly with the bank before initiating any applications.

6. Data Processors & Third-Party Services

We utilize minimal third-party systems to operate: (a) Supabase: Used to store and read public product listing data. No user data is sent here. (b) AI Advisor: Your message text is sent to our AI provider to generate a response and power product recommendations; we do not attach your name, email, or other identifiers to these requests. If you are signed in, the conversation itself is saved to your account (see Section 15 for deletion). (c) Firebase: Used exclusively if you decide to explicitly sign in to sync preferences, which is governed under Google's Privacy Policy. (d) Google Analytics (GA4) and Vercel Analytics: Used to understand aggregate app usage — see Section 10 for what these collect. (e) Google AdSense: Used to display ads that help keep the app free — see Section 10 for what this involves. (f) Resend: Used only to email you a one-time code (to verify your address or reset your password) if you use an email address and password; it receives that email address for this purpose.

7. Children's Privacy

Truely Money is not designed for or targeted at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from minors. If you are under 18, please do not use the app or input any information.

8. User Rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

In compliance with the DPDP Act 2023, you hold full rights over your data: (a) Right to Access: You can view all saved information on your profile page. (b) Right to Correction & Erasure: You can modify your name, or clear all data instantly by clearing your browser's local storage or using the Log Out function. (c) Right to Grievance Redressal: You may contact our Grievance Officer to resolve data queries.

9. Grievance Officer & Statutory Compliance

As mandated by the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and associated Rules), the contact details of our Grievance Officer are: Name: Grievance Officer, Truely Money Email: support@truelymoney.com We will address and resolve any concerns or complaints within 30 days of receipt.

10. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

With your analytics permission, our first-party app activity records are linked to your signed-in account: visited screens, product and tool identifiers, app platform/version, language, approximate foreground usage, completed AI responses and error counts. We use these to measure active users, diagnose problems and improve the service. The activity recorder does not copy free-text searches, message content, passwords, IP addresses or full device fingerprints. Individual activity stores the most recent 30 events and 35 days of active-day markers; it is removed when your account is deleted. Daily aggregate totals do not contain account identifiers. Authorized administrators can inspect these records, and access to private user records is logged. You can decline or withdraw analytics permission through the cookie controls. Separately, we use Google Analytics (GA4) and Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate app usage — pages visited, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and session activity. We also use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), or you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. No ad vendors other than Google are used on this website at present; if that changes, this policy will name them and link to their opt-out pages. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. None of this third-party advertising or analytics data is linked to the personal information described in Section 3 (your email or display name), and we do not sell it. It is never used to build a profile tied to your account identity.

10a. Advertising in the Android App

The Android app supports Google AdMob ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. When ads are requested, the SDK automatically collects and shares information with Google such as IP address (which can estimate general location), device or account identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. We do not send your saved financial preferences, chats, name or email to AdMob as part of an ad request. We use Google's consent form where required before requesting ads. Where available, you can revisit your choices using the Ad privacy choices button on this page. These choices are separate from the website's analytics and cookie controls. Learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

11. No Sale or Commercialization of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade the personal information described in Section 3 (your email, display name, or account preferences) to anyone. This is separate from the aggregate, cookie-based advertising and analytics activity described in Section 10, which is standard for how Google AdSense and Google Analytics operate and is not tied to your account identity.

12. Disclaimer & Financial Advice

Truely Money is an informational search directory. Nothing within this application constitutes financial, investment, or tax advice. We recommend consulting a SEBI-registered financial advisor or your banking partner before finalizing any transaction.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be updated in-app, and your continued usage of the platform constitutes acceptance of those changes.

14. Effective Date

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 25 October 2026.

15. How to Delete Your Account & Data

If you signed in (with Google or with an email and password), you can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account inside the app. This immediately and permanently deletes your Firebase Authentication account and your Firestore data (email, display name, favourited products, recent searches, saved chats and linked app activity) — this action cannot be undone. If you never signed in, no server-side account exists; clearing your browser's local storage removes all data instantly. To request deletion without app access (e.g. lost device), email support@truelymoney.com from the address associated with your account and we will delete your account and data within 30 days.
